HOME INVENTORY VS DELICIOUS LIBRARY FOR MAC
While we're talking about apps, I have one for Mac only called Delicious Library.

There’s a few iPhone apps and web based options I’ve come across in a quick google search. Does anyone use a database or app to catalog their collection? Just saw this Tik Tok by Alec Soth who uses Delicious Library. What I like about it is that you can search the music data from some source like Discogs or Musicbrainz and then edit that data however you like. It's a software application, so your collections are stored locally on your computer, not on some remote server like Discogs. It can manage collections of all sorts of media: music, books, movies, and more. Vinyl Collection Management Site/App If you use Linux then Tellico is an alternative. It's a standalone desktop app, so no docker is necessary. It's FOSS and actively maintained (latest release came out in February). You can retrieve metadata from a number of sources, search for books based on ISBN and other factors, and even track lending. Book database I've been using Tellico for a few years now. It's not that I don't want to spend any money on it, it's just that another monthly fee isn't really feasible right now? I think my priority is to be able to fiddle around with the data and patterns myself. It would be neat if one day, when all the info is in there, to share it and see if others like it too. I love data and I can't imagine anyone other than myself being interested in this information, lol.

Relational database for non-technical person with spreadsheets that are getting out of control.

Best software for hoarders and curators? Tellico is a KDE project (linux) for managing collections of all sorts.Self hosted physical bookshelf database with ISBN scanning Tellico has been a great tool for managing our collections - books, comics, games, etc.
